Cauet: “Inter Know What They’ve To Do To Get To The Champions League”

Former Inter player and youth coach, Benoit Cauet has shared his hopes for Inter youngster Andrea Pinamonti amongst other things in an interview with FCInterNews.it.

He began the interview by speaking on Italian youth international Pinamonti, who has spent the season on loan with Frosinone.

“Even when he was only 14 you could see that Andrea Pinamonti had what it takes to play in Serie A. He is an Inter fan and I hope that sooner or later he will be able to lead the Beneamate attack.

“There are a number of other very interesting youngsters at Inter at the moment aside from him. Thomas Schiro and Lorenzo Gavioli will both be able to go far. It does not surprise me that there are some Serie A clubs interested in them.”

He then spoke on Inter’s season finale with Empoli.

“The Nerazzurri are playing at home and they know what they have to do to get to the Champions League. They are in line with their seasonal goal. With all due respect to the Tuscans, who are a good team, Inter is stronger than them.”

He was then asked if the persistent rumours about Antonio Conte could have an affect on the team.

“No, it is part of the game. In Italy it is like this. There was talk of him back in January. He is a great coach and aside from Inter, he would be able to go and manage three or four other teams next season.”

He concluded by recommending a player to Inter and discussing Inter transfer target Nicolas Pepe.

“Who would I recommend? Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

“Nicolas Pepe has been the revelation of the season in France but I believe his price tag will be prohibitive.”
