Antonio Conte’s contract with Inter has been all drafted up and all that is missing is his signature, something he will be able to provide as he travels to meet the Inter leadership in China according to a report from Tg5.
“Only the season finale of Inter is required before Conte’s announcement,” their report begins.
“The former head coach of the Italian national team is expected in Nanjing, at the headquarters of the Zhang family, for the usual preparatory trip to sign the three year contract worth €9 million a year, a contract prepared by Giuseppe Marotta, but for everything to go in the right direction Inter need to win and get into the Champions League.”
Conte will be succeeding Luciano Spalletti as manager of the Milan club with Spalletti set to bid farewell after two seasons in charge.
Spalletti led Inter to Champions League qualification for the first time in a number of years in his debut campaign in charge and is on course to qualify the club for a second consecutive season heading into the final game of the season.
