Inter had a scout present at Sao Paulo’s match against Bahia at the weekend in order to take a closer look at Helio Junio, better known simply as just Helinho according to a report from UOL Esporte.

The teenage attacking midfielder played 45 minutes in the game that ended 0-0 and it is as yet unclear whether or not Inter’s scout left the Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo impressed.

Inter have yet to submit an official offer to the Brazilian giants for the 19-year-old and the report warns that they could struggle to sign him even if they do.

Sao Paulo’s president Carlos Augusto de Barros recently claimed that the club will not entertain any offers for players who have come through their youth academy but the report states that that is not to say that Inter making an offer could not change things.

Helinho has made eight first team appearances to date across all competitions and has provided one goal.
