Rather than last season where Inter had everything to play for, Inter now have everything to lose heading into the final game of the season in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport.

As things would have it, Inter would achieve qualification in a dramatic 3-2 victory at the Stadio Olimpico.
However, this season Inter find themselves in the Champions League places and need to win against Empoli to ensure that they qualify for next season’s edition of Europe’s top continental competition.
The best case scenario on Sunday is for Inter to take the lead as early as possible and thus relieve the huge pressure that they are under, even if just slightly. One of the other sides requiring a win to qualify going behind in their game will also no doubt help settle the nerves a bit too.
