Inter wish to speed up in their pursuit of Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa in a bid to beat arch-rivals Juventus to his signature according to a report from La Repubblica.

Chiesa is Inter’s top transfer target for the upcoming Summer transfer window and they are ready to proceed regardless of Antonio Conte’s imminent arrival to succeed Luciano Spalletti as manager.

Chiesa is understood to wish to leave Fiorentina for pastures new and wishes to join a club where he will be guaranteed playing time, something he would be far more likely to get at Inter than at Juventus.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Inter also remain interested in bringing Edin Dzeko in from Roma.

The veteran Bosnian forward will cost no more than €15 million and talks with the Giallorossi are already at an advanced stage.

Dzeko may not be the only player heading to Inter from Roma either with La Beneamata also keen on signing central midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Pellegrini has a €30 million release clause in his current contract at the Stadio Olimpico, a clause that can be paid in two €15 million instalments.
