Former Inter defender Andrea Mandorlini has shared his thoughts and feelings ahead of Inter’s season finale with Empoli at San Siro this coming Sunday.

Inter head into the match knowing that a win will definitely secure them their place in the Champions League and anything else could see them miss out depending on results elsewhere.

“From the outside, it is difficult for me to talk about the game,” he began the interview with Sky Sport 24.

“However what is certain to me is that Inter will have to pick up a fundamental result on Sunday because beyond everything what they do on the field is what counts.”

Mandorlini, who spent seven years on Inter’s books between 1984-1991, then questioned the mentality of Luciano Spalletti’s team.

“Inter have sometimes lost matches before they have even played them due to the fact that they get so nervous and while that is only my opinion, it is what I have seen from Inter in so many games this season.”
