Inter will make three changes to their starting XI for tomorrow’s crunch match against Empoli at San Siro.

Stefan De Vrij, Matias Vecino and Mauro Icardi are expected to return to the line-up following last Sunday’s disastrous defeat away to Napoli.

De Vrij and Vecino missed the match through injury and suspension respectively while Icardi scored a late consolation goal after coming on at half-time.

Joao Miranda and Roberto Gagliardini will drop to the bench for the first two while Lautaro Martinez, who was heavily criticised for a poor performance, makes way for the latter.

Inter must beat Aurelio Andreazzoli’s side to ensure qualification for next season’s Champions League after throwing away a comfortable advantage in the league table since the start of April.

They will be guaranteed a top four finish regardless of their result, however, if Milan cannot beat SPAL at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.

Inter’s expected starting XI (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah; Vecino, Brozovic; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Icardi
