Inter coach Luciano Spalletti stopped by InterTV to answer questions sent in from Inter fans all over the world to the club’s Facebook page, ahead of tomorrow’s last Serie A clash of the season against Empoli, at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Roma coach began by underlining the importance that Inter have to approach the match with the right attitude and midframe in order to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League.

“I want to see a team that are aware that they have the possibility to once more qualify for the Champions League. A squad that has their heads filled with good ideas to express out on the pitch in a stadium that is filled with love and affection for Inter.”

“We have to evaluate, during a season you go through many phases. Empoli are now maybe the most uncomfortable opponent to face in the Serie A, but it will be a problem for them as well as we know what we are playing for.”

“We have trained well this week, in these moments you risk being disturbed by the tension. I have seen the right enthusiasm and the awareness of what it means to be the coach of a club like Inter.”

In conclusion Spalletti was asked about his good relationship with Empoli coach Andreazzoli as well as the club itself after having coached them earlier in his career.

“It is a matter that could happen based on the results, which is also a little bit what I am wishing for [that both teams end up happy]. I am close to Empoli and Andreazzoli but I am the coach of Inter and Inter fills you with en emotional charge so much that you have to satisfy those who do everything for this shirt.”
