Inter CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, moments before kick-off in the final Serie A match of the season against Empoli, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

Marotta began by underlining the importance of tonight’s match as well as expressing in no uncertain terms that eh expects the team to win.

“This is without a doubt the most important match of the season, it is a special match. I expect that the team responds the way I expect them to, to achieve an important result with respect for themselves, the club and the supporters.”

“We are all concentrated in the present. Spalletti has conducted the training sessions this past week remarkably well, he is an expert professional”

In conclusion Marotta didn’t even want to entertain the idea of Inter failing to qualify for the Champions League.

“We don’t even want to think about that, we are concentrated on this match and maybe we will talk about it afterwards.”
