Keita Balde spoke with Inter TV for perhaps his final time as an Inter player following Inter’s 2-1 win over Empoli which secured the Nerazzurri a place in next season’s Champions League.
“It was very important for me to come on and make a difference in the game. My teammates were expecting what I did today, they gave me the confidence to do it,” he began the interview.
“There have been a few ups and downs this season, but in the end we brought some important results back home. We have to work every day to always give our best.”
He concluded by speaking on the season from a personal point of view: “I am very happy to wear this shirt. I also had some ups and downs during the season, but I am happy to play for this club and I hope that everything goes well.”
The Senegalese is currently on loan at Inter from Monaco with Inter having an option to turn his stay into a permanent one but it remains to be seen if they will take up this option.
