Borja Valero could be set to return to his homeland during the Summer transfer window with AS reporting that Getafe have shown an interest in signing him.

The Madrid based club surprised many with their fifth placed finish in La Liga and they are looking for experienced players to come in next season with a Europa League campaign awaiting them.

The 34-year-old midfielder is interested in a possible return home and as per the report, Inter will not stand in the way of him departing the club.

He is under contract with the club through until the end of next season but with Inter seemingly targeting several midfielders, a move away from the club would probably be best for him if he wishes to continue playing regularly in the twilight years of his career.

This season he made 38 appearances across all competitions for the club. In 1749 minutes on the field, he failed to score but did manage to provide one assist.
