Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan has spoken on Inter manager Luciano Spalletti’s presumed exit from the club off the back of Inter securing their place in next season’s edition of the Champions League.
It is with thanks to the Belgian’s 81st minute strike that Inter will compete in the competition next season and he firstly joked about the goal.
“The goal I scored is worth €60 million? I can ask for a salary raise then [laughs]. Joking aside, I was just doing my job. Matias Vecino did well to get the ball to me,” he remarked in an interview with broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
He was then asked about Spalletti’s seemingly certain exit from the club.
“I feel sorry for him, he wanted me here. He is a great coach, he brought Inter back into the Champions League so he should be given the credit for that. I love him, I hope that he will be able to continue to do what he would like to do.”
