Inter had the highest average attendance among Italian clubs during the 2018/19 season and fifth best across Europe Calcio e Finanza have highlighted.

The Nerazzurri closed the season with an average attendance of 61,444 and pipped Real Madrid to fifth spot in Europe by around 250.

Borussia Dortmund sit at the top of the list with an average of 80,889 and are the only club to have exceeded the 80,000 mark.

Barcelona are in second with an average of 76,051, Barcelona are in third with 75,000 and Manchester United are in fourth with 74.498.

Inter’s city rivals Milan are the second highest Italian club on the list with an average of 54,667, a figure good enough to place them 11th.

Juventus meanwhile have the third highest attendance in Italy with 39,244, which places them in 30th across Europe.
