Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport report that the deal to take Roma’s Edin Dzeko to Inter has been made and that it is very probable that Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku could soon follow suit.

According to the report, it all depends on if Inter can sell Mauro Icardi for the right price. Lautaro Martinez will be the new poster boy of Inter, heading into the Conte era, while Inter want at least €70 million for Mauro Icardi.

A figure that may seem small for someone with his goal tally but after the drama this past season, it will be hard to get much more. Unfortunately, there aren’t many interested clubs, one of which is the Nerazurri’s biggest rivals, Juventus whilst another is Atletico Madrid. Inter would like to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

The fate of Icardi has little to no effect on Edin Dzeko, the Gazzetta reports. Inter and the Bosnian striker have already agreed contract terms, all that is left, is to negotiate with Roma.

At the moment, Roma are asking for €20 million, but they are yet to confirm the identity of their new sporting director. Inter ideally want to complete the deal by June 30th because it is of low cost, so they want to keep it on this years balance sheet.

However, for Lukaku, Manchester United are not interested in swap deals and want €70 million in cash. Solskjaer, unlike Mourinho, is not interested in Perisic or Icardi, so Inter will have to sell first.

On the other hand, Lukaku is very eager to join and has already met Inter’s management in Milano.
