Edin Dzeko is seemingly growing ever closer to joining Inter with the club close to reaching a deal with Roma over him according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Roma had initially demanded €20 million which  Inter were hesitant to pay but the two clubs could come to an agreement for €13.5 million.

The 33-year-old Bosnian striker will be joining Inter on a two year deal with an annual salary of €4 million.

Dzeko is not the only striker that Inter are working on either, the report continues.

Inter are at work trying to sign Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku. The Red Devils are demanding €80 million but Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta is going to try and offer Ivan Perisic plus cash for the Belgian, who is keen on completing a move to Inter.

Inter are also trying to sign Cagliari starlet Nicolo Barella, who appears to be their main midfield target. He is valued at €40 million and is soon expected in Milan for talks.

The club have also been offered a chance to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea on the same terms that Milan took him on loan with but it is as yet unclear if Inter are interested.

The broadcaster’s report also touches upon the future of Mauro Icardi, which is likely to be far away from the Nerazzurri. The Argentine striker wishes to stay at Inter or in Italy, therefore ruling out a switch abroad. Juventus have shown an interest but if Gonzalo Higuain returns, it would put an end to that idea.
