Incoming Inter manager Antonio Conte’s top transfer target for the Summer transfer window is Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku according to a report from ESPN.

With Mauro Icardi seemingly done at Inter, Conte has recognised the need to bring in a new striker and will swoop in for the Belgian, who he is a big admirer of.

Whilst in charge at Chelsea, Conte tried to sign the 26-year-old but lost out to United in the end, who Lukaku has since went on to score 42 goals for in just shy of 100 appearances.

The report goes on to state that Inter are also interested in signing veteran Bosnian international striker Edin Dzeko from fellow Italian club Roma.

Like Lukaku, Conte has made a previous attempt to sign Dzeko. Back in January 2018 Conte attempted to sign Dzeko for Chelsea but Roma rejected the Blues advances for the now 33-year-old, who has just one year left on his deal in the Italian capital.
