Events have been slightly delayed due to mourning for Luciano Spalletti’s brother, who we found out had sadly passed away yesterday.

But last night, Antonio Conte arrived in Milano to finalise the details of his contract that will bind the former Chelsea coach to the Nerazzurri for the next three years.

Between today and Friday, Inter will officially announce the change and his presentation will at the beginning of next week, Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

“He will also meet Zhang Senior at some point, most likely when Inter go on their Asian tour and play in Nanjing on June 24th against Juve, bringing a Derby D’Italia live to their Chinese supporters.”

“He might even get the chance to meet the Chinese President, Xi Jinping while he’s on a state visit at a later date. The Chinese ruler has stated that he would like to visit Milano again and talk about the club.”

“Everything is now done, even his staff. His assistant coach will be his brother, Gianluca. This is not uncommon in football, illustrious coaches such as Ancelotti, Prandelli and Pochettino all have their brothers in their staff.”

“Gianluca Conte, is 47 years old and has always been a helping hand to Antonio. Having left football at 20 from Lecce youth academy and then studying and graduating in motor services, Gianluca has been following his brother since Antonio’s time at Bari, almost always assigned to evaluating his opponent.”

“Paolo Vanoli and Cristian Stellini will also play important roles, at Conte’s side. Vanoli was part of Conte’s team at Chelsea, after years of experience working with Italy’s Under 16 to 19’s, with whom he reached the European Cup final in 2016 but lost to France.”

“Stellini started working for Conte at Siena, at the end of his playing career as a defender with Bari. Then he joined Conte at Juventus as part of his coaching team but resigned during the Scommessopoli allegations. Two years and 6 months later, he came back with Genoa’s Primavera. Now after 7 years, he will reunite with Conte.”

In addition, the Spanish duo, Julio Tous and Costantino Coratti will take over as the physical specialists. Tiberio Ancora will be the lead nutritionist.”

“Finally, Adriano Bonaiuti, will remain as goalkeeping coach due to his good relationship with Handanovic. The only thing that remains to be confirmed his who will become Inter’s new psychologist.”
