Francesco Toldo has sung the praises of current Inter number one and club captain Samir Handanovic for the way in which he handles himself in wake of him being awarded the best goalkeeper in Serie A this season.
Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb he said, “He is a consistent performer, has exceptional experience, self-assurance and is calm in an often shaken environment like that of Inter.
“He can handle the pressure, he is linear and he manages to overcome the difficulties he is faced with. From a technical point of view it must be said that he makes it seem to easy to make some saves that in reality are very difficult.
He concluded: “It all seems so routine to him. His ability to also start moves with his feet also needs to be appreciated.”
Handanovic made no less than 49 appearances across all competitions in the 2018/19 campaign. He kept an impressive 20 clean sheets and won Inter several points with his performances.
