There is no space in incoming Inter manager Antonio Conte’s plans for Borja Valero or Joao Mario according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Borja Valero has one year left on his current deal with the club and whilst he put in some good performances in the 2018/19 season he is not a profile Conte deems suitable for his 3-5-2 system.

A possible return to his native Spain is reportedly on the cards for him. Getafe have sparked an interest in bringing the veteran to them whilst a move elsewhere in Italy cannot be ruled out either.

As for Joao Mario, he has long looked certain to leave the club. With some perhaps naive comments last Summer, the Portuguese severely damaged relations between himself and the club and was frozen out.

Luciano Spalletti did call upon him and he, like Valero, put in some credible performances but he has ultimately failed to live up to expectations since his arrival in 2016 from Sporting.
