Former Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar is convinced that with Antonio Conte at the helm, Inter can get back to being the best club in Europe.
In an interview with Sky Sport in Madrid, ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League final, he firstly discussed Inter’s Champions League win back in 2010.
“In this city I won the Champions League with Inter, these feelings I felt will never leave me. People still go crazy and even now fans still ask me for photos because of the treble in 2010.
“I want to thank football and all the teams I have played for because having this affection for me is a beautiful thing.”
The former Brazilian international shot-stopper, who spent several trophy filled years at the Nerazzurri, was then asked for his opinion on Inter’s appointment of Antonio Conte as their new manager.
“He is a great manager, there is no doubt about that.
“I wish him good luck and with his philosophy for work he can take Inter back to the top in Europe.”
