Former Inter winger Luis Figo believes that newly appointed Nerazzurri manager Antonio Conte has everything it takes to get the team to start winning titles again, he told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Speaking at an event in the Italian capital Rome, the former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter winger was adamant that Conte could usher in a new period of greatness at his former club.

“You know that the way life is in the world of football, a coach is always dependent on the results. But Conte has demonstrated to possess all the qualities needed to make a team win. We hope that his new adventure at Inter becomes as happy an experience as possible.”

Figo joined Inter on a free transfer in the summer of 2005 leaving Real Madrid after his contract expired with the Los Merengues. The Portuguese winger made 138 appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions scoring 11 goals in the process, and won 4 Serie A titles, 1 Coppa Italia title as well as 2 Supercoppa Italiana titles, during his 4 seasons at the club.
