Inter and Cagliari are set for an important week in their negotiations over midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to Tuttosport.

Barella is eager to join the Nerazurri and work under new head coach Antonio Conte, but he could be forced to wait with €15 million currently separating the clubs’ valuations of the player.

Inter do not want to spend more than €30-33 million in total for Barella, whereas Rossoblu president Tommaso Giulini is holding firm on his initial asking price of €45 million.

If Cagliari were to accept Inter players as part of the deal their first choices would be Sebastiano Esposito and Alessandro Bastoni, but the Nerazzurri are unwilling to sell either.

Davide Merola, Lorenzo Gavioli and Facundo Colidio are all spendable names for an eventual deal while former Inter striker Eder, who is now at Jiangsu Suning, could also be offered if Cagliari reignite their interest for him.

Cagliari could also make a request for Andrea Pinamonti, who will return to Inter after a season-long loan at Frosinone, if they sell Leonardo Pavoletti.
