Inter could spend up to €200 million this summer as they look to revamp their squad for new head coach Antonio Conte, according to Il Giorno.

Conte was officially unveiled as Luciano Spalletti’s replacement on Friday and is already drawing up plans for the 2019-20 season, with a long list of transfer targets for his new-look side.

Inter know they will need to be complete and competitive in every area of the pitch if they wish to be a force in Europe again and will have to open their cheque book in order to make that happen.

“The club’s transfer chiefs have noted they will needed to spend at least €15-18 million for either Victor Moses or Danilo and another €30 million or so for Nicolo Barella,” the paper reported today.

“Cagliari want €50 million but Inter are discussing players they might include in the deal. The player will receive at least €2.5 million net in wages.

“The Nerazzurri are also in advanced talks to sign Edin Dzeko, who will get €4 million net, in the hope they will not have to spend more than €10-12 million for a 33-year-old.

“Then there’s the big signing, which will be the most expensive: Federico Chiesa. Inter will need €60-70 million and a wage pack that’s not inferior to €4 million per season.

“If you add all that to the money Inter owe Luciano Spalletti for the final two years of his contract and the amount they owe Conte for his first season alone, the total reaches €200 million.

“They’ll then need to do another little bit of spending on top of that if Mauro Icardi leaves and is replaced by Romelu Lukaku, given the Argentine earns much less than the Belgian.

“Lukaku is on almost €12 million net per season at Manchester United and would have to reduce his salary to at least €7.5 million in order to join Inter.”
