Mauro Icardi has moved a step closer to the Inter exit door after accepting he is no longer part of the club’s plans for the future, according to Sky Sport.

Inter have been clear for weeks they intended to move the striker on this summer and are thought to have made their position clear to Icardi.

Antonio Conte was appointed as the club’s head coach last week and has no intention to make the Argentine a key player in his new-look side.

Icardi could now take the prospect of moving to Juventus into more serious consideration, with Inter keen to arrange a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.

The 26-year-old was stripped of the club captaincy in February and is no longer on speaking terms with a majority of the Inter dressing room.

Inter would most likely pursue Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku if they can secure a move for Icardi.
