Arsenal’s Swiss international midfielder Granit Xhaka is on the verge of leaving the Premier League outfit and join Inter in the Serie A, according to Swiss media outlet RSI.

According to the report, contacts have recently been made between the parties but the appointment of Antonio Conte seems to have sped up the talks.

“Talks have been ongoing these past few weeks but seemed to have accelerated after Inter appointed Antonio Conte, who wants the Swiss international captain in his midfield at Inter.”

“The subject of the Arsenal player leaving for Inter has been the subject of talks here in Porto where the Swiss national team are preparing themselves for their Final Four clash of the Nations League. The player himself has not uttered a word himself about the matter.”

“He has not confirmed anything but he has also not denied anything either, and this could also be another interesting indication that something is in the works.”
