Antonio Conte paid his first visit to Inter’s training ground at Appiano Gentile on his first official day as Inter head coach yesterday.

Conte was officially appointed by the Nerazzurri on a three-year deal last week, before attending Saturday’s Champions League final with Inter’s management in Madrid.

The former Juventus and Chelsea boss also met Suning owner Zhang Jindong for the first time while out in Spain, before returning to Milan for his first day of work.

“Conte was already at Inter’s main offices at 9.30am where he met Beppe Marotta and vice-sporting director Dario Baccin,” Gazzetta dello Sport reported this morning.

“After a quick lunch he went to Appiano Gentile and arrived at his new training ground, which will become a second home for him, for the first time at 3pm.

“There was no need to discuss transfer plans yesterday because he had already spent the weekend with the club’s management and Inter’s plans are already laid out.”
