AS Roma are going to try and sign Inter’s Argentinian international striker and former captain Mauro Icardi, from the Nerazzurri Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, during the talks about Bisnian international striker Edin Dzeko, Roma asked Inter about the future of Mauro Icardi at which they were told that he is no longer part of Inter’s plans.

“Roma are currently trying taking concrete steps to sign Mauro Icardi. The first steps and and requests have been made to the player’s entourage in order to understand how the player feels about signing for the Giallorossi.”

“Everything depends on what Icardi who up until this point has been adamant that he wants to stay in Milano, but it is not a secret that Icardi is no longer part of the Nerazzurri’s plans. Roma are waiting for the player to return from his holidays before turning their temptation into something more.”
