Inter forward Eddie Salcedo will return to his former club Genoa on loan next season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Salcedo joined the Nerazzurri last summer on loan with an option to buy for a total of €15 million, scoring 12 goals for the club’s Primavera during the 2018-19 campaign.

Inter are expected to exercise their option to make Salcedo their player permanently, but having done so they will then send the 17-year-old back to Genoa in the hope he gets experience in Serie A.

Genoa are likely to revamp their options in attack before next season after a catastrophic end to 2018-19 saw them escape relegation by virtue of their superior head-to-head record with Empoli.

Former Inter striker Goran Pandev will be moved on while Antonio Sanabria, who scored just three goals after joining in January as Krzysztof Piątek’s replacement, may be sent out on loan to another top-flight club.

Christian Kouame, who shone in Inter’s Primavera several years ago, will become a key player up front for the Grifone.
