Inter forward Axel Bakayoko is likely to remain on loan at Swiss club St Gallen for another season, according to FcInterNews.it.

Bakayoko made 32 appearances for them during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring four goals and contributing three assists as Peter Zeidler’s side secured a sixth-place finish.

The French youngster has two years left on his contract with the Nerazzurri and is expected to spend the first of those back on loan there.

Inter have other priorities to clear up at the moment but should make a final decision on Bakayoko within the next 10 days.

The 21-year-old made 68 appearances for Inter’s Primavera side before graduating in 2017, providing 16 goals and four assists.

Bakayoko was then sent on loan to Ligue 2 club Sochaux for the 2017-18 campaign, where he made just 19 appearances in all competitions.

He also made his debut for Inter’s first team the year before that, though, coming on as a substitute in their 2-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
