Inter are monitoring Davide Zappacosta and Thomas Meunier as potential options for new boss Antonio Conte at wing-back.

TuttoMercatoWeb last night reported Paris Saint-Germain defender Meunier would be the Nerazzurri’s first-choice, as Conte prepares to play with a 3-5-2 system next season.

However, Arsenal are also following the Belgian international and Inter could struggle to secure him despite swooping in during the last few days.

Zappacosta made 35 appearances in all competitions under Conte at Chelsea, who brought him to west London for the 2017-18 season.

The 26-year-old scored two goals for the Blues that year, against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and Stoke in the Premier League.

Meunier played 31 games for PSG last season and grabbed five goals and seven assists, as the French side secured another Ligue 1 title while being knocked out in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Reports elsewhere on Wednesday evening also suggested Antonio Candreva could stay at the club and fill the right wing-back position, after playing in that role with success under Conte for the Italian national team.
