Inter Will Make Serious Attempt To Sign Tottenham Midfielder Eriksen

Inter will make a serious attempt to sign Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Eriksen has one year left on his contract in north London and would be available for €60-70 million, telling reporters yesterday he was ‘ready for a new challenge’ in his career.
Real Madrid have been interested in the Danish international for a long time but the club’s frosty relations with Spurs could scupper their hopes of securing a deal.
“There’s something in this for Inter, and it’s not just a simple deduction of his comments,” Gazzetta reported this morning.
“Inter think he is the signing they can deliver to Antonio Conte so he can try to immediately close the gap to Juventus in Serie A.”
Eriksen scored 10 goals and provided 17 assists for Spurs last season as they secured a fourth-place finish in the Premier League and reached the Champions League final.
Inter believe Eriksen would provide the quality and forward runs their midfield is currently lacking.
“Inter think they have the right credentials to enter this race,” Gazzetta concluded.
“Eriksen is an ambitious target but he’s a target that convinces everyone at the club.”
