Gabriele Oriali could combine his managerial roles with Inter and the Italian national team until the conclusion of Euro 2020, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 66-year-old is all but certain to be reunited with Antonio Conte after the pair worked together for two years in charge of the Azzurri.

Current Italy boss Roberto Mancini is desperate to keep Oriali on board until the end of next summer’s European Championships, though, and will propose he holds both positions until then.

“The idea Oriali could join Inter but stay with Italy as well is a possibility, albeit not a certainty,” Gazzetta explained.

“But if certain conditions are met the parties could reach an agreement, and the first people to be happy about that would be Mancini and FIGC president Gabriele Gravina.”

Italy will face Greece and Bosnia in Euro 2020 qualifying next week as they aim to put the humiliation of missing out on last summer’s World Cup behind them.
