New Inter coach Antonio Conte has expressly asked the Nerazzurri to sign another central defender and according to Spanish media outlet Marca, the latest name on that list is Real Madrid’s central defender Nacho Fernández.

According to the report, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has a lot of faith in Nacho but has given the player the freedom to decide his own future, especially if a concrete offer were to arrive from a club of Inter’s stature.

The Los Merengues have signed Eder Militao from Porto for €50 million and together with Sergio Ramos and French World Cup winner Raphael Varane, Nacho’s chances of receiving first team football have decreased considerably, which is why should Inter present him with an offer, he would consider it.

Nacho Fernandez, born in 1990, came up through the Real Madrid youth ranks and made his first team debut during the 2010/2011 season and has since then featured 190 times across all competitions for the Los Merengues, scoring 9 goals in the process.
