Roma want to sign goalkeeper Ionut Radu or striker Andrea Pinamonti as part of the deal taking Edin Dzeko to Inter, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Reports have circulated this week over a sensational swap deal between Dzeko and Mauro Icardi, with Inter keen to sell the 26-year-old before the end of June.

The Milanese paper described the idea as virtually impossible, however, given Icardi’s excessive wage demands and his desire to stay in Milan.

Radu joined Genoa on a permanent deal last summer but Inter possess a buy-back option they could exercise to regain control of the Romanian.

Pinamonti scored five goals in an impressive debut senior season for Frosinone, scoring against Roma themselves when Marco Baroni’s side went down to a 3-2 defeat.

Dzeko is expected to be confirmed as Inter’s first signing of the summer next week, although Diego Godin has also been unofficially confirmed following the expiry of his contract at Atletico Madrid.
