Inter and Cagliari are edging ever closer to agreeing terms over Nicolo Barella and Monday could be a decisive day for negotiations according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Negotiations have been going on for some weeks now but some details still need to be ironed out in order for the move to be completed.
Both clubs will have officials present at the Lega assembly meeting on Monday which therefore means there is no shortage of opportunities to hold further talks whether that be before, during a break in the meeting, or afterwards.
As per various reports doing the rounds, Inter have already got an agreement in principle over personal terms with the Italian international midfielder.
During the 2018/19 season, the 22-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the top Italian prospects at the moment, made 38 appearances across all competitions.
In 3383 minutes on the park, he scored one goal and tallied four assists.
