Inter are unlikely to resolve their Mauro Icardi dilemma in short order as the club prepare to meet the striker’s wife and agent Wanda Nara, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Icardi is relaxing in Milan at the moment following his exclusion from Lionel Scaloni’s 23-man Argentina squad for the Copa America, which does include club teammate Lautaro Martinez.

The striker will leave Italy next week for a holiday but before that Inter plan to meet Wanda and inform her they no longer want Icardi at the club no matter what.

Icardi’s relationship with Inter’s supporters became further frayed on Saturday when she posted a photograph of the couple together at a disco.

Wanda continued to publish pictures and stories throughout the weekend, though, showing no sign of backing down as a summer standoff looms into view.

Inter’s chances of resolving the problem before preseason training starts on 8 July diminish with each day that passes.
