Inter supporters are flocking to renew their season tickets at San Siro amid a wave of enthusiasm for the arrival of Antonio Conte.

Gazzetta dello Sport today reported the club have renewed more than 12,000 season tickets for the 2019-20 season already, marking a 20% increase on their numbers at this stage last year.

Three million people renewed their tickets on the day Conte was officially unveiled as the club’s new head coach, confirming the excitement among fans for the former Juventus boss’s appointment.

Inter sold 37,500 season tickets before the start of last season and hope to surpass that figure when they go on sale to the general public.

Last summer saw 10,000 fans book their place at San Siro following Inter’s ‘see the stars again’ campaign on social media, following the club’s dramatic qualification for the Champions League under Luciano Spalletti.

Those tickets were on sale both to existing ticket holders and new buyers, though, whereas the 12,000 already signed up this summer are exclusively existing ticket holders.

Inter will conclude phase 1 of their season ticket campaign today.
