Inter will complete the signing of France under-17 captain Lucien Agoume from Sochaux this week despite late interest from Juventus and Manchester City, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri were poised to finalise a €4.5-million deal for the talented midfielder last week before approaches from the Italian and English champions slowed talks.
Inter have since met with Sochaux again and are now convinced everything will be sorted for Agoume by next weekend at the latest.
The club will then have to decide whether to leave him with the first team or keep him in the Primavera side for the 2019-20 season, although the latter appears more likely at the moment.
Agoume is considered one of the brightest young talents in French football and has made 11 appearances for their under-17 side.
Inter are expected to sell a number of their academy players this month in order to balance their books but this deal confirms their longstanding commitment to invest in their youth sector.
