Inter are preparing to challenge Napoli for the signing of Fenerbahce midfielder and North Macedonia international Eljif Elmas, according to Sky Sport.

The Partenopei are in constant contact with the Turkish club as they look to purchase the 19-year-old, who is valued at €10-15 million.

Napoli must be wary of the competition, though, with Inter, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund all lining up to take advantage of the impasse.

Aurelio De Laurentiis can only offer the €10-15 million Fenerbahce are requesting if he can complete a couple of sales first, which may give Inter time to swoop if they step up their pursuit.

Elmas made 40 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce during the 2018-19 season, scoring four league goals as Ersun Yanal’s side finished a lowly sixth.

The midfielder has also played 11 matches for North Macedonia after making his senior debut in September 2017, scoring twice in their 3-1 win over Latvia in Euro 2020 qualifying in March.
