Antonio Conte wants Inter to sign Piotr Zielinski from Napoli this summer but the midfielder is not for sale, according to Sportitalia.

Zielinski scored seven goals in all competitions for the Partenopei last season, with 142 appearances to his name since joining from Udinese in 2015.

Conte has placed the 25-year-old at the top of his wish list for Inter’s new midfield as he believes Zielinski would be perfect for his style of play.

However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has repeatedly stated the Polish international will not be sold, accusing Inter last week in an interview with Corriere dello Sport of ‘trying to dismantle our team’.

Inter’s interest for Zielinski is therefore described as ‘purely theoretical’, with minimal room for maneouvre.

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella is widely expected to join the club in the next fortnight but the 22-year-old will almost certainly not have Zielinski for company at San Siro next season.
