Inter still have work to do to sign Nicolo Barella after Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini told reporters the Nerazzurri’s offer ‘doesn’t satisfy us’.

Barella is waiting to join Inter after agreeing personal terms several weeks back, but Cagliari want €50 million and Inter are not currently willing to guarantee it.

Giulini spoke to Sky Sport in Milan this afternoon and confirmed the 22-year-old has various offers on the table.

“Barella has had five extraordinary years at Cagliari and next year could be the year where he establishes himself in a top club that plays European football,” Giulini said.

“We’ll see which clubs satisfies our requests but for now we don’t have agreements with anyone.

“Inter are interested like other clubs and have made us a serious offer which we are evaluating, but it doesn’t satisfy us.

“It remains to be seen whether Barella will play in the Champions League at his next club, he’s proven with his performances for Italy he deserves to play football’s most prestigious matches.”
