Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder and reported Inter targeted has been linked today with a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Rebic contributed 10 goals and six assists in all competitions last season as Frankfurt reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, where they were eliminated by Chelsea on penalties.

Atletico are looking for a player to replace Antoine Griezmann, who last month confirmed he would be leaving the club, and German newspaper Bild believe they could focus on him.

Antonio Conte is thought to want Rebic for his new-look Inter side after being appointed the club’s new head coach on 31 May.

The 25-year-old has made 28 appearances for the Croatian national team and impressed at last summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, scoring the opening goal in a 3-0 win over Argentina.

Rebic has already had one brief experience playing in Serie A, with two unsuccessful seasons at Fiorentina in which he scored three goals.
