Edin Dzeko angered Roma supporters yesterday with a ‘like’ on social media suggesting the forward would join Inter, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 33-year-old approved a message from an Inter supporter containing black and blue hearts, sparking offensive messages from his current fans in the capital.

Dzeko has already spoken to head coach Antonio Conte and is on good terms with the Italian after he tried to sign him for Chelsea in January 2018.

Inter must now agree a deal with Roma to complete the signing, with reports their Primavera star Davide Merola could be included as a makeweight.

Merola is likely to be involved on Saturday when Inter play Atalanta in the grand final of this season’s Campionato Primavera in Parma.

Roma have asked for various other Inter players as part of talks for Dzeko, including goalkeeper Ionut Radu and striker Andrea Pinamonti, but the Nerazzurri have rejected most of their advances.
