Inter met with Nicolo Barella’s agent this afternoon and received confirmation the player is only interested in a move to the Nerazzurri, according to FcInterNews.it.

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini is not satisfied with the club’s current offer and has spent this week looking to create competition for Inter by telling reporters other clubs – such as Milan, Roma and Paris Saint-Germain – had made approaches.

Inter remain in a highly comfortable position as negotiations continue slowly, however, because the 22-year-old has no intention of considering any other offers.

The player’s agent Alessandro Beltrami reached the club’s headquarters in Milan at 1pm local time and confirmed there were no problems on their side.

Inter also took the opportunity to discuss the future of Radja Nainggolan, who is also managed by Beltrami.

The Belgian’s future is somewhat less clear than Barella’s, with Inter confirming the player is not indispensable and could be sold for the right offer.

Neither Inter nor Beltrami are in a hurry to sort Nainggolan’s future, however, with the parties agreeing to meet again in the coming weeks.
