Inter are not worried by Milan and Roma’s reported interest for Nicolo Barella as the club have all but secured a deal for the midfielder, according to Sport Mediaset.

Cagliari will receive €30 million in cash plus Federico Dimarco, Alessandro Bastoni on loan and perhaps Eder too, who is playing for Inter’s sister club Jiangsu Suning.

The parties still need to agree on the finer details of the agreement but the TV station reported a deal will be finalised soon.

Barella has agreed a five-year deal with Inter which will see him earn €2.5 million per season in wages.

Having secured the 22-year-old Inter will then focus their attention on Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, although the Belgian could prove a harder target.

United want €70 million and the Nerazzurri will have to negotiate well to bring the asking price down, although they could be helped by the player’s desire to join them.

Lukaku told the same channel on Tuesday he had already decided where he would move next, describing head coach Antonio Conte as ‘the best in the world’.

Inter will need to sell Mauro Icardi in order to welcome the forward to the club, however, with the striker preparing to jet off on holiday alongside wife and agent Wanda Nara.

The Nerazzurri are close, meanwhile, to selling Zinho Vanheusden and Xian Emmers to Standard Liege for €20 million.
