Inter look set to miss out on Roma full-back Aleksandar Kolarov after the player agreed terms with Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey.

Antonio Conte was thought to be considering a move for the Serbian as he seeks adaptable players for his 3-5-2 system.

However, sabah.com today reported the 33-year-old will join the Super Lig club and picked up quotes from Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal.

“We’re signing a player who will give us quality on the left-hand side,” Yanal said.

“I’m certain Kolarov will do very well here.”

Kolarov is expected to sign a two-year deal worth €2.8 million per season in wages, with no suggestion of how much the Serbian’s transfer fee would be.

Inter had considered including Kolarov in a deal to bring Edin Dzeko to San Siro, but it seems this will no longer be possible.

The club will nonetheless secure the Bosnian’s arrival in the coming days, provided they can agree with the Giallorossi on which young player to include as a makeweight.
