Inter’s chief executive Alessandro Antonello has confirmed the club need to sell players before the end of June in order to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
Antonello joined fellow CEO Beppe Marotta in presenting Inter’s preseason training camp in Lugano this morning, which will begin on 8 July.
The 53-year-old then spoke to FcInterNews.it and reminded supporters Inter must get players out before they can concentrate on bringing more in.
“We need to reach the target we set ourselves for the period ending on 30 June,” Antonello told reporters.
“Marotta and Piero Ausilio are working towards this and with plenty of working days left we’re confident we’ll get everything done in time.
“At the moment we just need to concentrate on finishing this financial year and then we can think about our summer transfer campaign.
“It’s premature to talk about which players we want to sell, we have a lot of options and are open to many solutions.”
Inter are thought to need €45 million in capital gains before the end of June if they wish to avoid all possible risk of being sanctioned by European football’s governing body.
The Nerazzurri took a large step towards hitting their target this week when they agreed a deal to sell defender Zinho Vanheusden to Standard Liege for around €20 million.
