Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali’s return to Inter is expected to be officially announced just shortly according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

The former Inter midfielder is set to return and act as the link between the team and the club management in the capacity of team manager.

His return to the Nerazzurri will also allow him to reunite with Inter manager Antonio Conte, who he worked with in the Italian national team in a similar role.

The report from the broadcaster goes on to state that both Nicolo Barella and Edin Dzeko will be present on the first day of Inter’s pre-season training with Inter edging closer to completing deals for the pair of them.

It remains to be seen whether other transfer target Romelu Lukaku will also join them on day one of preparations for the coming season.

It is understood that Inter’s move for him largely depends on Mauro Icardi exiting due to Manchester United’s high demands for the Belgian striker.

The report concludes that Inter have also knocked back an approach from Benfica for Andrea Pinamonti. The Portuguese club offered €15 million but Inter rejected the offer.
