Inter could send Cagliari as many as three players to secure a deal for midfielder Nicolo Barella, according to La Nuova Sardegna.
The Nerazzurri have seemingly failed to lower the asking price for the 22-year-old, which Cagliari have insisted must remain at €50 million overall.
Barella will join Inter soon if the club offer €35 million plus Alessandro Bastoni on loan, Federico Dimarco permanently and another young player on top of that.
Cagliari have identified Napoli’s Marko Rog and Juventus-bound Hamed Traore as potential replacements for the Italy international.
Barella played the full 90 minutes yesterday as Italy beat Spain 3-1 in their opening match of this summer’s UEFA European Under-21 Championships, providing two assists.
Italy’s next match will see them face Poland on Wednesday before they conclude Group A against Belgium at the weekend.
Bastoni also made a cameo appearance in the win over Spain, replacing fellow defender Kevin Bonifazi with two minutes remaining.
