Inter have made Cagliari a cash plus players offer for Nicolo Barella which could rise to €50 million, according to Sky Sport.

The Nerazzurri have offered €36 million up front with €4 million in easily obtainable add-ons and another more unlikely €10 million, which would be activated if Inter won either Serie A or the Champions League.

The deal would also include a season-long loan for Alessandro Bastoni and a loan with option to buy for Federico Dimarco.

Milan and Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Barella but Inter plan to meet Cagliari this week to try and reach an agreement.

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has been adamant since negotiations started he wanted €50 million for the midfielder, while Inter offered somewhat less.

It remains to be seen whether Inter’s offer to meet his asking price through a series of add-ons, many of which may never be paid, will satisfy the Rossoblu owner.

Barella created two assists for Italy’s under-21’s last night as they beat Spain 3-1 in their opening match of this summer’s European Championships.
